Fritter festival in Pietra Ligure

The fritter festival takes place each year at the foot of the bell-tower of the Church of the Madonna del Soccorso of Pietra Ligure and it is organized twice a year; on the occasion of St Anthony in Padua’s Day (June 13) and on the Madonna del Soccorso Day (8 September).
During the festival, the 150 volunteers distribute thousands of bags of delicious sweet and salty fritters giving the name to the festival, in addition to the traditional dishes of the Ligurian tradition.
