Great Galà of Polenta of Calizzano

The Great Galà of Polenta is one of the most anticipated events of the High Val Bormida.
An itinerant gastronomic tasting among the streets of the quaint hamlet and ruins of the restored castle in Calizzano where you can taste polenta of all kinds: white polenta of wheat flour, yellow polenta with corn flour and green polenta, second dishes, side dishes and desserts.
During the gastronomic event, the Cultural Historical Association of Rocchetta di Cairo offers medieval games and theme shows. In addition, along the streets of the village a parade with costumes of the Medieval Historical Group of Calizzano takes place, and in Piazza San Rocco a hobbyist’s market is set up.
