Confuoco in Pietra Ligure

The tradition and the charm of this traditional moment for a few years in Pietra Ligure has been felt more than ever by the inhabitants of the village and not only, symbolizing ever more cooperation between the three municipalities of the Val Maremola.
The ceremony takes place in the presence of numerous representatives of the administrations of the Western Savona’s area, ecclesiastical authorities and of various cultural and volunteering associations of the area.
For the ritual of ignition, the “Flame of Bethlehem” is used, a fire burning in the city where Jesus was born and brought to Pietra Ligure for the occasion by the AGESCI.
