Books and drawings in the sun in Celle Ligure

In the occasion of Libri al sole (Books in the sun), a small fair of independent publishers, the eleventh edition of the drawing contest “Disegni al sole”(Drawings in the sun) takes place. It presents two different categories: the first one is for Italian and foreign illustrators; the second one is dedicated to pupils of primary and secondary schools, but also to children of the kindergartens.

The competition was born to accompany the editorial event, which develops its interventions through extensive work on the territory, in schools of small municipalities, in the libraries of the suburbs and in all those places that are excluded from the attention of publishers and distributors. The ” Disegni al sole (Drawings in the Sun)” contest, close to the spirit of “Libri al sole (Books in the Sun)”, has maintained the goal of enhancing the ability of images to address topics of social interest, in this case the encounter with diversity and stimulating, as far as the school section is concerned, children to think about the issues and the different experiences that come from exchanges with other cultures and traditions.
