Funghinpiazza in Calizzano

The second Sunday of October, the traditional Funghinpiazza is held. An event designed to celebrate the renowned porcini mushrooms of Calizzano.
In the various gastronomic booths and traditional shops you can taste the porcini mushrooms cooked in the most varied ways.
Local cuisine accompanies the characteristic trade fair of crafts, hobbies and wine and gastronomy excellence.
Starting from 9 AM, the morning racing “Reu Running Trail”, which is awaited by so many sportsmen, offers a fascinating journey through the wooded hiking trails of the area.
From midday, you can enjoy the traditional lunch with themed menus in all the restaurants in the village and at the “Le Ciminiere” recreational centre.
There will also be musical entertainment, animation for children, an interesting exhibition dedicated to the fascinating realm of mushrooms and a spectacular Bike Trial show.
